Prey (2022) recap

In Prey (2022), we follow Naru, a young American Indian woman who exhibits a drive to hunt, but has yet to claim her first kill and be acknowledged for her talents in the broader tribe. She's no killer, but she's good at tracking. As the largely unarmed - or at least, inexperienced - female of the group, surrounded by bloodthirsty males, there's a clear reference back to Elpidia Carrillo's character, Anna from McTiernan's original, with one of the visual nods certainly being the moment she is held by the group of men, Prey (2022) bad hands tied, black hair down her face, leaning against a tree, utterly terrified.
